A Plus New Homes is the private residential development division of A2Dominion Group, one of the South East's most progressive providers of housing with homes and new developments throughout Greater London, the Home Counties and the Thames Valley.

John Allan - Managing Director

John’s a Chartered Surveyor and has followed a career journey that has brought him South on just about every job move. From Livingston Development Corporation (one of Scotland's five new Towns) to Cala Homes in Edinburgh, Cambridge and then Staines, John’s rise to housebuilding stature saw his last role as Managing Director of Cala’s prestigious Southern operation. John could only take the challenge of A Plus if the move was in a Southerly direction; thankfully, the new offices are! John’s sporting prowess is better than most – having been signed up as a youth team player for Heart of Midlothian FC. His playing days are now over, but football remains a passion.

Damian Aziz - Land & Planning Director

Damian is a land man through and through. He has successfully sourced and acquired many sites for a number of major housebuilders during his career, including Taylor Woodrow, Crest Nicholson, and Barratts. Hot on energy, Damian is about to compete in his fifth London Marathon. For more leisurely pursuits, he jumps out of planes at 13000 ft, and is amongst the 3000 following of AFC Wimbledon(supporter figures provided by Damian himself!)

Denise Stewart - Director of Sales and Marketing

A qualified chartered marketer, Denise has over decade of blue-chip marketing expertise spanning both business to business and business to consumer marketing. Within the property world, she has enjoyed singular responsibility for building a number of key brands within the sector, and directing sales programmes of 300 units plus per annum. Although not one to court publicity, Denise has featured on BBC, ITV and several radio stations promoting home ownership to the masses. And not to be outdone by her colleagues, Denise is an active five-a-side footballer, supports Fulham, flies power kites and rides horses.

Christopher Swordy - Head of Commercial

Christopher Swordy has an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying, which has been put to good use whilst working with and managing Commercial departments throughout various private residential housing developers. These range from the medium size, spending time with Banner Homes and Michael Shanly Homes, through to the larger size, with Fairview and Galliford Try (Linden Homes). Chris is enjoying the challenges that A Plus has to offer, he says that “it’s a great chance to make a difference in the community and help build up the company from strength to strength”. Chris trains and teaches Karate twice a week, having obtained his Shodan grade. He is the odd one out in the team being not the least bit interested in football, but preferring rugby (watching mostly) and motorbikes (both attending superbike rounds and track days).

Alan Johnson - Assistant CEO (Development), A2Dominion Group

Alan’s enjoys a pedigree of over 25 years within the affordable housing sector, although his real strength has been to bridge the divide between public activity and commercial ventures. Working for a number of high profile housing associations and local government, he can single-handedly account for managing a development programme of £1bn plus in the last fifteen years. As an executive board member of A Plus, Alan provides the company with access to the considerable resource base within the main A2 Group.

As AFC Wimbledon’s other supporter, Alan looks forward to the day when they’re back in the premiership. We think perhaps another £1bn of development may be achieved before then!

John Knevett - Chief Commercial Officer, A2Dominion Group

Civil engineering at British Rail led John on a technical career track, entering housing in a technical services role at the end of the eighties. His visionary management skills were seized upon and John was ultimately rewarded his first Chief Executive posting in 96. Heading up Airways Housing Group, John led on two further mergers culminating in today’s A2 Housing Group, one of the South’s leading names in affordable housing solutions. As an executive board member of A Plus, John is the main conduit between the commercial activities of A Plus and the funding strength of the main A2 Group. And once more, football is a passion; you’ll see JK at Chelsea on weekends when his young family are not being too demanding! Golf, however, is kept for corporate weekday events – by order of his wife.
